New Patient Registration

We are always pleased to welcome new patients to our practice. If you fall within our geographical boundary of 5 miles for Ahoghill and 6 miles for Cullybackey you are eligible to join the practice. 

We now need several forms completed, photographic identification and proof of address before you will be given a registration appointment with a GP.

Please call into reception and ask for a new patient registration pack.

Medical treatment is available from the date of registration once you have been accepted as a patient. Please contact reception if you require any further information.

Practice Boundaries

Ahoghill:

With effect from May 2015, the Practice has reduced it's geographical boundary from 10 miles to a radius of 6 miles.   If you need further details regarding the new catchment area please contact Naomi Johnston, Senior Receptionist on 2587 1200. 

Cullybackey:

With effect from May 2015, the Practice has reduced it's geographical boundary from 15 miles to a radius of 7 miles.   If you need further details regarding the new catchment area please contact Diane Ballentine, Senior Receptionist on 2588 2222.

Temporary Registration

If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.

You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with that practice.

To register as a temporary patient simply contact the local practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
